Overview
HeyWithU (bundle identifier com.ruska.WithYou) is a local-first iOS companion app. It does not require an account, does not use advertising identifiers for ads, and is designed so that core companion and animation features work on your device.
What we collect
The app does not collect personal information for an account or profile. There is no sign-up and no login.
We do not sell your personal data. In this build, the app does not operate a chat backend or cloud AI service that receives your messages.
Photos (Photo Library)
If you choose a photo as the app background, the app accesses photos you select so they can be displayed locally as the scene behind the companion. Selected photos are not uploaded by the app to HeyWithU servers for that purpose. You can change or clear the background in the app.
Permissions
Photo Library access is requested only when you pick or change a background image. Declining photo access does not prevent using the companion animations with the default background.
Microphone or speech features are not part of the core demo path of this App Store build. If a future version requests additional permissions, this policy will be updated and the in-app prompt will state the purpose.
Analytics and third parties
This build does not include third-party advertising SDKs. System-level diagnostics that Apple may collect when you opt in (for example via App Store / iOS analytics) are governed by Apple’s policies, not by HeyWithU servers.
Purchases
If you buy anything through the App Store, payment is processed by Apple. HeyWithU does not receive your payment card details.
Children
HeyWithU is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data retention and deletion
Because companion preferences and background choices are stored on your device, uninstalling the app removes that local data. There is no cloud account for us to delete on a server for this build.
Changes
We may update this policy when the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
